Foundation: Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere was born on June 30, 1956, at Kisubi Hospital in Wakiso District, Uganda. His journey of faith began with baptism by Rev. Fr. Roll on July 1, 1956. From his early years, Archbishop Ssemogerere displayed a deep reverence for spirituality, which shaped his educational pursuits and ultimately led him to priesthood.

Formation in Faith: From the corridors of Kisubi Primary School to the halls of St. Mbaaga Major Seminary Ggaba, Archbishop Ssemogerere’s formative years were steeped in a rich foundation of Catholic teachings. His studies in theology and liturgy laid the groundwork for a life dedicated to serving God and His people.

Ordination and Ministry: On June 3, 1983, Archbishop Ssemogerere was ordained a priest by Cardinal Emmanuel Nsubuga at Ggaba Seminary, marking the beginning of his pastoral journey. He served in various capacities, including as a parish priest, dean, and vicar general, demonstrating unwavering dedication and pastoral zeal.
